Our Story
Super Shootout, Inc. was born from a single moment that changed everything.
In 1991, four Marion County high school basketball players participated in a college workout and each walked away with a scholarship opportunity. What seemed like a simple event became a powerful realization: access creates opportunity, and opportunity can change the trajectory of a life.
That moment sparked the creation of the Super Shootout City-County All-Star Games and college workouts, designed to give student-athletes the exposure they needed to pursue higher education through sport.
What began with a few athletes quickly grew into a movement impacting over 1,000 student-athletes and helping secure approximately 100 scholarships across collegiate programs.
Today, Super Shootout continues to build on that foundation evolving beyond competition into a platform that connects generations through sports, education, and community.
Our Mission
Super Shootout, Inc. has evolved from a local high school all-star showcase—where top senior boys and girls competed in front of college coaches, opening doors for hundreds of student-athletes to pursue a college education and continue playing the game they love—into a dynamic, multi-dimensional organization that enriches lives across generations through sports, entertainment, and the arts.
Today, Super Shootout, Inc. is committed to creating meaningful experiences that connect generations—bridging gaps while cultivating leadership, opportunity, and lifelong growth. Building on its legacy of access and exposure, the organization now delivers impactful workshops for student-athletes and parents focused on navigating today’s rapidly changing sports landscape.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that access changes lives. By providing exposure, education, and community-centered experiences, we empower individuals to recognize their potential, make informed decisions, and pursue paths that extend far beyond the moment. Through intentional programming, mentorship, and strategic partnerships, Super Shootout, Inc. aims not only to develop individuals, but to shape confident leaders and engaged citizens, who understand the value of discipline, character, and purpose.
Our commitment to facilitating intergenerational connection by creating opportunities for seniors to mentor and engage with younger generations, helps reduce isolation which can lead to depression, enhance mental, emotional, and physical well-being, and restore a renewed sense of purpose. In turn, young people gain wisdom, encouragement, and real-life perspective that builds confidence, trust, and stronger decision-making skills.
Our Legacy
Our legacy is not just measured in games played or scholarships earned it is reflected in the lives impacted, the doors opened, and the generations connected along the way. What began as an opportunity for a few student-athletes has grown into a lasting foundation of access, mentorship, and community. From historic All-Star Games at Hinkle Fieldhouse to initiatives that bring people together across age groups, Super Shootout, Inc has remained committed to creating meaningful experiences that extend far beyond the court. We have seen firsthand how a single opportunity can shift a future how exposure leads to confidence, how guidance leads to leadership, and how community creates a sense of belonging that lasts long after the moment has passed.
Today, that legacy continues to evolve. Through programs like Next-Level Champions™, Indianapolis, we prepare the next generation for the responsibilities that come with opportunity. Through POCA™, we honor the value of experience by creating space for continued engagement, wellness, and purpose. Our work is rooted in the belief that growth does not have an age limit and that every stage of life carries the potential to inspire, lead, and impact others. As we look ahead, we are not simply preserving what was built we are expanding it. We are building a future where opportunity is intentional, community is strengthened, and every generation has a place to learn, contribute, and thrive.
